Globally, 1.5 billion people, one quarter of the world’s population, live without electricity, according to a United Nations report. We want to change this for Zambia.

The fact that the rural and urban poor needs mechanisms for ensuring affordability for energy services have been cited as the main push for decentralized energy supply. Renewable Energy is part of the solution that can contribute to increasing access to modern energy services.
Lack of access to energy is a cause of poverty, not just a result of poverty.
